At Joseph’s Harvest we are quite familiar with facing both planned, and unforeseen, events. Consequently, we understand the implications of being prepared, and not having put forth the required thoughts and actions. Having been through those experiences, we can wholeheartedly recommend being as prepared as possible, and one the vital elements of having a well-rounded plan is to ensure adequate food items for those you love, and yourself. This fact was seared into our thought processes one evening when shaken out of bed by an earthquake in SoCal where we were living. The reality of having little to no food items available to our family in the event of an emergency provided the basis for the genesis of Joseph’s Harvest. 

The name Joseph's Harvest was developed from the Biblical account of Joseph in Genesis, and his wisdom in leading Egypt to prepare for famine by storing away food during 7 years of plenty. When famine gripped the entire region, Egypt was well prepared thanks to Joseph's leading the nation to prepare for lean times.
